She was raised in Chennai and started her professional career as a VJ. 
 
Lekha Wahington is an Indian film actress as well as product designer who appeared in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, Kannada language films. She has done her first work in 2002 as a sculptor and after that in the theater in a Chennai-based stage plays. She also worked in a couple of ads also. She was a very qualified filmmaker from Ahmadabad. She had her first solo exhibition at the age of 18 only this seems this talented from the young age. Her first release was Jayamkondaan in which she has done the intricate character with elegance. She has done the second film from Telugu director Krish, in mid-2009. She made Bollywood entry and was selected to play as a foremost lady in "Peter Gaya Kaam Se", presently being twisted by UTV stain boy.
