Loretta Lynn was born on 14 April 1932. She was a singer and a songwriter from America. She got the inspiration to write and sing from her marriage. Her husband supported her. She got her harmony guitar in 1953. She learned it all by herself in a time span of 3 years. She made her own brand named, Loretta and the trailblazers. The themes with which she dealt in her music were related to women and women's issues. She sang about repeated childbirth, childbirth control, and the double standard of man and woman. Country music banned her nine songs due to their content.
 
She also wrote an autobiography titled, Coal Miner’s daughter which was made into a film in 1980. Initially, she started singing at local clubs in the 1950s. She signed her first contract with zero in 1960. Decca records also signed her. Patsy Cline was her mentor. Her first Decca single titled Success was released in 1962. She gave her 3 major hits which include, Blue Kentucky girl, happy birthday, and the home You’re tearing down. Her album named, Don’t come home drinking was her biggest hit. 500,000 copies were sold of the same.
 
Fist city was released by her in 1968. The song, You Ain’t woman enough by her was also a big hit. Rated X by her was her most controversial song. She did a partnership with Conway Twitty in 1971. The duo was named, the vocal duo of the year. She made one album titled, I remember Patsy for her friend who died in a plane crash. The album was a tribute to her.
