L.V. Revanath’s full name is Lolla Venkata Revanth Kumar Sharma. Revanth completed his studies from Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam and after which he relocated to the city of pearls, Hyderabad to begin a career in singing. He has already sung in almost 200 Kannada and Telugu films. Revanth was already a well-known name in the South when he participated as a contestant in Indian Idol season 9.
 
The singer rose from ranks to popularity after singing the song Manohari from the blockbuster film Baahubali: The Beginning. Besides that, he has also performed in various stage shows worldwide. The cute-looking and intense Revanth has been trained in singing by the legendary Telugu composer. In the south, he often referred by his fans as Rocking Revanth. No wonder girls went gaga over this handsome hunk and voted in large numbers for him and thus he emerged winner of the show and lifted the much-coveted trophy of Indian Idol.
 
When LV Revanth began his journey in Indian Idol, he was not at all comfortable with Hindi but slowly he overcame this and gained a lot of confidence. His performance on the song Buleya from Ae Dil Hain Mushkil left the judges numb and they just couldn’t  believe that this guy doesn't know Hindi. Though Rohit and Khuda Baksh from Punjab and were versatile and talented, it was Revanth's popularity that actually proved to the game changer.
 
The Indian Idol victory is not his maiden, though. Prior to that, he has participated in various other reality shows on several Telugu television channels and was declared as a winner in all of them. Just after winning the Indian Idol, Farah Khan announced that Revanth will a sing a song in her next film.
