Manindra Agrawal Complete Bio & Career

A Padma Shri recipient and a name that not many are familiar with Manindra Agarwal is worth the recognition of a celebrity. He is the Director of the now one of the topmost IITs, IIT Kanpur. He is also an alumni of IIT Kanpur himself. 
 
Taking up classes under Maninder's guidance is well known for the ways and tactics that he implies to project a topic is out of the box. He never takes up a well versed and learnt class, but grows with the students by teaching them step by step concepts with examples and not algos. He gained his engineering degree and a Ph.d from the same college. He has also worked as a fellow member in the School Of Mathematics , SPIC Science Foundation in Chennai from 1993-1995 and as a Humboldt Fellow in the University of Ulm, Germany from the year 1995-1996. he later was appointed as the N.Rama Rao Chair professor in the year 2003. 
 
He made some major innovations like the creation of AKS primarily test with his colleagues Neeraj katyal and Nitin Saxena for which he also won Fulkerson Prize and the Godel prize in teh same year 2006. He also worked on the "unconditional deterministic algorithm to test an n-digit number for primality" for which he won Clay Research Award in 2002. The list doesnt stop here, but later in 2008 he also went on to win the Infosys Mathematics Prize for his extremely amazing contributions in the Mathematics region. He is also a visiting scholar at the prestigious Princeton University, Institute for Advanced Study. He also won the GD Birls award in 2009, ICTP prize in 2003, TWAS prize in 2010, ACCS-CDAC Foundation Award in 2014 and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award in Mathematical Sciences in 2003.
