Mara Wilson Complete Bio & Career

Mara Wilson, famous former child actress, singer and an author were born in a Jewish Family in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her role in Mrs. Doubtfire as Nattie Hillard, in Matilda as Matilda Wormwood and in Miracle on 34th Street as Susan Walker. She grew up in an acting environment and started developing an interest in acting after seeing her most established sibling Danny’s act. She completed her graduation from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2009.
 
She had her initial acting roles in commercials and have given many commercial hits like Bank of America, Marshalls, Lunchables, and Texaco. She once worked with Martin Short in a film A Simple Wish in 1997.
 
She has won Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film Leading Young Actress category for her work in the film A Simple Wish, also won a Young Star Award in "Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Comedy Film category for her work in Matilda.
 
She left acting to follow her career as a writer and later in 2013 wrote an article for Cracked.com. Once, she sang a song along with Tim Curry and Kathy Najimy at 67th Academy Awards in 1995.
