Mark Millar was born on 24-12-1969 in Coatbridge in the state of Scotland, United Kingdom. He is a Scottish Writer.

Mark Millar Complete Bio & Career

Millar was among the brightest students in his class and therefore his parents wished that their son will become an engineer or a doctor. He though had some other plans. He was highly influenced by superheroes like Superman and Spiderman among others after reading comics which his elder brother used to bring home from the University. He had already written and sold his own comic book after landing in high school. 
 
He was forced to quit his studies from the college due to financial distress after his father died. He was left with the choice to return back to his first love of penning down Comic Books. From the 1990s to early 2000s, he used to write for the two giant groups in this industry named DC Comics and Marvel. After penning down super hit comic series like Spider Man and X Men for Marvel, he decided to write for his own and thus quit Marvel in 2004 and created Millarworld which will be published by different publishers. 
 
His created titles such as Chosen, Wanted, Kick-Ass, War Heroes and The Unfunnies were all adapted for films. Besides Comics, he created templates for the line-up of films such as The Avengers and Captain America. He though creates his comics and movies under his creation Millarworld but is simultaneously contracted with Publish house Marvel to pen down their most high-profile and big budget projects. 
 
His trademark is that in his comics, he portrays over the top sex and violence and his characters are unsympathetically violent.
