After completing his secondary education, he jumped into a college for higher studies. He collected athletics scholarship from the University of Texas at Austin and got a chance to become a permanent member of coach Mack Brown's football team (2009-2012).
Furthermore, the football player was four times the winner of track-field and won the NCAA championship two times in the field of a long jump from the United States. In 2012, as a long jump player, he took part in the Olympic games and qualified for further levels but achieved 10th place in the finals. He also appeared in his college's National Championship Game against Alabama in 2010 and won the game.
In May 2013, he was hired by Buffalo Bills and signed a contract for 4 years. He playing every match for Bills for four years and won several matches. During this period, he got injured and missed 5 games. Goodwin came back to the game after survived with ailment and again showed the magic of his game. Along with this, he was signed by San Francisco 49ers for 2 years.
Currently, Marquise played for NFL's team Philadelphia Eagles. He sighed a deal with Philadelphia Eagles in $1.35 million per year. Recently, he said that he did not play any game due to the COVID-19 crisis and wants to spend time with his family.
