The Canadian actress, Melinda is the beautiful actress of Indo-Guyanese Heritage. As a matter of fact, she is well-recognized for her role of Alli Bhandari in the lengthy television series namely Degrassi – The Next Generation. Additionally, she is popular for her role as Indira Indie Mehta in the television series named as How to Be Indie which was cast on YTV. Moreover, she has won awards for this role which mainly includes Canadian Screen Award in the year 2013. 
 
Initially, Melinda has appeared as a cute child model from which she began her career. She has also appeared in various print advertisements which mainly include a Procter and Gamble's billboard conducted in Los Angeles. In the year 2008, she performed in the first movie as a ninth-grade student and left the series after completing seven seasons. Subsequently, in the year 2010, she was given the chance to perform in the debut feature movie named as Festival of Lights. This movie was captured in the New York City as well as Georgetown, Guyana. 
 
Apart from the acting profession, Melinda along with her childhood friend started working in the image consulting business. Most prominently, she launched Miss Conception in the year 2014.
