Mickie James is a professional wrestler, country singer and model from America. She is associated with World Wrestling Entertainment under the RAW brand. 
 
In her childhood, she was avidly involved in equestrian sports and also played violin. She had developed interest in professional wrestling at a very young age. She enrolled at professional wrestling school in Washington D.C. Her professional debut happened as a valet for well-known KYDA Pro Wrestling in 1999. She managed several male wrestlers including Tommy Dreamer. Her maiden match appearance was in an intergender tag team match against Mike Brown and Candie where she teamed up with Jake Damian. Later, she attended several workshops to improve her wrestling skills. She began competing for the prestigious Maryland Championship Wrestling and also appeared on Ring of Honor. However, due to low income, she worked as a waitress and also posed nude for several magazine including naughty neighbours. 
 
Soon, she debuted at Total NonStop Action Wrestling at the lingerie battle royal. Around March 2003, she became prominent and her first singles match was against Trinity. She signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling. She won a Halloween costume contest in 2004 and defeated Jillian Hall in a Thousand Dollar match in the same year.  Her well-known finishing moves include Laree DDT, Mick Kick, Cross-Legged STF, Chick Kick among others. In her WWE career, she emerged as a WWE Women’s Champion five times and WWE Diva’s Champion one time. James has also won the TNA Knockout Championship three times. She was inducted into the Covey Pro Hall of Fame in 2014. She was named ‘Women of the Year’ by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2009 and 2011. 
 
As a country singer, her debut album was Strangers & Angels. She released her second album ‘Somebody’s Gonna Pay’ in 2013. She was inducted into prestigious The Native American Music Hall of Fame in October 2017.
