Mihir Das Complete Bio & Career

Mihir Das began his career in the year 1979 with an Art movie named ‘School Master’. The very same year he also starred in the commercial cinema ‘Mathura Bijay’. He was appreciated for his roles in both movies and soon gained wide popularity. He was then offered several movies and was actively involved in Odia cinema till his death. He appeared in four movies in the year 2016 most of which were commercial successes.
 
Mihir had starred in more than 100 movies where he played both lead and side actor roles. Some of his popular movies were Laxmi Protima, Target, GUNDA, My Love Story, Pahili Raja, Chori Chori Mana Chori, Baazi, and Dhauli Express to name a few. He also appeared on several television programs and hosts many TV shows. He was an integral part of the Odia Cinema and likes playing character roles.
 
Mihir had also won several awards and accolades as an actor for his superb performances. He won the best actor award for the movies Pua Mora Bhola Sankara in 1996, Bidhata in 1999 & Pheria Mo Suna Bhauni in 2005 respectively. He also won the best supporting actor award for the movies Laxmi Protima in 1998 and Rakhi Bandhili Mo Rakhiba Mana in 2002. He was a versatile actor and could play different roles.

Mihir Das died at the age of 62 on 11-01-2022. He got a massive heart attack in Dec 2021 and was admitted to a hospital in Cuttack. He took his last breath in the hospital during treatment on 11-01-2022.
