Munmun Dutta did her primary education from "Oxford Model Senior Secondary School" (Kanpur). She did her Master’s degree (M.A) from Pune College. Munmun parents wished her to pursue her career in "journalism," and on the encouragement of her parents, she started doing the journalism course. She left the course in middle and started taking the modeling assignments. She began her career in 2004 from the "Zee TV" daily soap "Hum Sab Barati".After that show, she struggled to establish herself in the entertainment industry. She approached many directors and producers to work on good scripts.
Despite that, she has had her debutant from the movie "Mumbai Express" released in 2005. But did not find any success in films, she later decided to work in shows and daily soaps. After struggling and lots of hard-work she got fame from the famous show "Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma" telecast on Sab Tv. This show has made a milestone of becoming the longest-running show after CID. In her childhood, she was more intended to opt for the doctor's profession but on the other hand, her fate destined her to become an actor. She is the perfect example of beauty with brains.
