Namrata began her career in the year 2001 with the movie ‘Training Day’. She soon gained recognition and was cast in several movies and TV series such as ‘Family Law’, ‘The Agency’, ‘House of Sand and Fog’, ‘Ultimate Survivor’, ‘You Can Thrive’, ‘Destination Survival’, ‘Kaante’ to name a few. In the year 2017, she is seen in 2 series ‘STILL’ and ‘5 Weddings’. She also released a video in the year 2007.
Namrata was detected with breast cancer in the year 2013. She underwent chemotherapy and several surgeries. She was finally cured of cancer. Soon after recovering from the disease she started hosting the show Thrive! With Namrata. The show was for people who had survived cancer. She also released a film 1 a Minute which has the storyline for cancer people. It is believed to be the largest release as far as cancer concept is concerned. It also stars cancer survivors like Lisa Ray, Barbara Mori, Mumtaz etc to name a few.
Namrata has won various awards for her outstanding performance. She was awarded the Actress of the Week in the year 2007. She was also nominated for the Emmy Awards in the year 2002 for her roles in Family Law.
