Nivetha Pethuraj was born in Kovilpatti but left for Dubai soon after her birth with her parents. She completed her school level education from Crescent English School, Dubai. She participated in Miss India UAE beauty pageant and ended up winning the title in 2015. After that, she started getting film offers from regional film industries in India. She finally made her Tamil film debut through Nelson Venkatesan's romantic flick titled Oru Naal Koothu.
The following year, she made her Telugu film debut through the film titled Mental Madhilo. Since then, she has become a regular feature in Tamil and Telugu films. Her roles include in films such as Chitralahari, Sangathamizhan, Party, and Pon Manickavel.
