Nyla Usha completed her school level education from Holy Angel’s Convent school in Trivandrum and graduation from All Saints College in Trivandrum.
 
In the early stage of her life, Nyla aspired to become an air hostess which later shifted to modeling. Her height was her biggest asset and helped her establish as one of the top models at a very young age. Subsequently, in 2004, she shifted to Dubai and started her career as a Radio Jockey by becoming a part of the radio station Hit 96.7.
 
Nyla Usha made her acting debut at the age of 30 with the Malayalam film Kunjananthante Kada in 2013. The film was directed by Salim Ahmed and she was cast opposite Mammootty. For her performance, she had won the Asiavision Award for the Best Debut Actress. She rose to prominence with her next release titled Punyalan Agarbattis in 2013. Since she felt that the role resembles her real life, she used her own costumes and make-up for the film.  
 
She made a cameo appearance in movies such as Pretham and Pathemari. Her upcoming film is Nale Ravile.
 
In addition to acting, she is also a host and is presently hosting one of the highest rated shows on Malayalam television channel called Minute To Win It. Through this show, she has been able to captivate and motivate the hearts of a wide range of audience.
