Pankaj Tripathi Complete Bio & Career

Pankaj Tripathi was born in a farmer's family and rose through the ranks to become one of the finest actors that Bollywood has ever produced. He was interested in acting from a very early age and used to enact a girl in his village natak's during festive seasons. His performance was hailed by the audienes and that prompted him to try his luck in films. After completion of his high school, he relocated to Patna and enrolled at the Institute of Hotel Management, Hajipur, During his college days, he was involved with theatre and also associated with college politics. After completion of his education, he worked at a 5 star hotel in Patna. After working there for few years, he relocated to Delhi and enrolled at the National School of Drama. He finally graduated from there in 2004.
 
After his sting with National School of Drama, he relocated to Mumbai to try his luck in films. He started off his acting career with an uncredited role in the Bollywood film Run in the year 2004. He worked in a dozed of films over next 7-8 years but hardly got noticed. He first came into limelight after he portrayed the role of Sultan Qureshi in much acclaimed Bollywood films Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1, and Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2. His career revived after that and he did some of biggest blockbuster films of Bollywood such as Dabangg 2, Fukrey, Singham Returns, and Stree among others. He started off playing the role of lead villain ut over the years have become one of the most sought after comedians in Bollywood films. His comic performances in the films such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Fukrey, Stree, and Luka Chuppi earned him a lot of recognition. He was recently seen in films such as Super 30, Arjun Patiala, and Drive. He will be next seen in Dabangg 3, 83, Kargil Girl, and Angrezi Medium among others.
 
In addition to Bollywood, he has also worked in English, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu language films as well. He has also tried his hands at small screen as well. He made his small screen debut through television series Zindagi Ka Har Rang...Gulaal in the eyar 2010. Post that, he was seen in series like Powder, and Sarojini - Ek Nayi Pehal. He has also worked in some of the most acclaimed web series such as Sacred Games, Mirzapur, and Criminal Justice.
