Pooja Bedi Complete Bio & Career

Pooja completed her initial studies from Besant Montessori School in Mumbai and then at Lawrence School, Sanawar. She was among the toppers in her class and besides that she was also on the hockey team, basketball team, debating team, theatre group and swimming team.
 
Pooja began her acting debut with the Hindi film titled Vishkanya in 1991. After which, she appeared in Aamir Khan starrer film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander in 1992 with Aamir Khan. For her splendid performance in the film, she earned a Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Few other films in which she acted are Lootere and Aatank Hi Aatank.
 
After retiring from acting, she became a columnist and has written columns for the Hindustan Times, MiD DAY and the Times of India newspapers. Besides that, she has written numerous articles for publications including  Femina, The Week and L'officiel, among others.
 
She participated as a contestant in dance reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhlaja and Nach Baliye. She also participated in the adventurous reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. She also served as a host for one episode of Bigg Boss season 2. 
 
She is presently a relationship counsellor and writes a column named "Heart Chakra" in the famous newspaper Times of India. She also writes about relationships in Femina magazine.
 
Bedi has established a charitable organisation called The Grassroots Foundation. Through this foundation, she helps the underprivileged people of society by training them in livelihood skills programs, education, water harvesting and farming reforms.

She was married to Farhan Furniturewalla from 1994 to 2003.  The couple together was blessed with a son named Omar Ebrahim and a daughter named Aalia Furniturewala. She was then in a relationship with television actor Akashdeep Saigal.  The couple they broke up recently.
