Puneet Issar Complete Bio & Career
Puneet Issar is known for his villainous acting over 150 Hindi films and even he has acted in 100 non-Hindi films. From 1980-90 he appeared in the number of Hindi films in which he played the role of a villain such as Kal Ki Aawaz, Teja, Prem Shakti, Zakhmi Aurat, Jagruti. He was cast in Bollywood superstar’s films such as along with Salman Khan he appeared in Chandramukhi, Sanam Bewafa, and Suryavanshi.On the other side in the Akshay Kumar's starring films he acted in Kshatriya and RamJanne starring SRK. This multi-starrer films gave him a new direction to his career in the film industry.
During the shooting of the film Kuli in 1983, an incidence happened when Amitabh Bachchan suffered severe injuries through his punch hit on his stomach in a stunt. In spite for a long time, he had to suffer the anger of the press and fans of Amitabh. Amitabh Bachchan came out with himself and requested the fans not to get angry at the ineffective over Puneet. After this incidence, he has had an exclusion from Bollywood, for nearly six years, Puneet was offered a role of Duryodhana in BR Chopra's epic serial Mahabharata which was directed by Ravi Chopra. This character proved to be like the path of their mile.
During that period, he did many Indian-horror films such as Tehkana and Purana Mandir. In 2000, he was cast in many successful hit films such as Bachna Ae Haseeno, Partner, Aryan, and Krrish. Apart from films he also appeared in Tv soap operas such as Vikram Aur Betaal, Sahil, Junoon, and Noor Jahan. He made his directorial debut from 2004, Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty starrer film Garv. This was a successful film at the box office and the film critics rated this film an avg film. In 2011 he also directed the film I Am Singh and even the script of the film was written by him. In 2015, he participated in the most popular reality show "Bigg Boss" as a contestant. And he evicted from the house just inches away from the finale on the 105th day.
