Punit Malhotra Complete Bio & Career

Punit Malhotra started off his career as an assistant director to Karan Johar in his film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. After which, he was associated with Dharma productions for nearly a decade and served as an assistant director in films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho and Dostana. 
 
After being an assistant director for nearly 8 years, Karan Johar gave him a break with the film called I Hate Luv Storys in 2010. Thus, he made his directorial debut. Besides directing, he also wrote the script of the film. The film though did average business at the box-office but critics slammed the film’s script and direction. Three years later, he made a comeback with the Dharma Production’s film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in 2013. This film too like the previous one failed at the box-office and thus far it was his last directed film. 
 
Besides directing, he has also acted in the short film called Unnoticed Love in 2009.
 
In 2019, he directs the Bollywood film Student of the Year 2 with the star cast Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Pandey and more. The film has been released on 10-05-2019.
