Rachael Haynes belongs to the Australian Women's team of cricket. She went to Our Lady of Sion College in 2004 to receive her VCE. Then, moved to Box Hill Institute where she did a diploma in Management. Later on, the player joined Australian Catholic University to achieve her Bachelor's degree in marketing and pursue her master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland. She was very fond of playing cricket since her childhood, so she used to play with her brothers in the backyard of her home. Due to her deep interest in cricket, Rachael got enrolled in Box Hill Cricket club where she met with Meg Lanning who later became a renowned player.

In 2005, Haynes made her debut with WNCL for the Victoria Women's cricket team for the season 2005-06. When she was playing for season 2006-07, made 83 runs and went not out during the second final of this series and defeated New South Whale by 8 wickets. In season 2008-09,  Rachael played well and kept the record of a maiden century. She made 357 runs with an average of 44.62. After that, the player also shows her cricket magic in seasons 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18. In season 2018-19, she was made 31 runs and achieved the victory by making 79 off 105 deliveries. She also participated in the WBBL league in 2016.

In 2008-09, she played her first ODI under the Australian Youth team against New Zealand. She was also nominated for the National squad for England tour. In the 2009-10 Rose Bowl series, Rachael began her T20I journey against New Zealand and made 53 runs in 73 balls. Apart from this, Haynes played with different organizations such as Ashes and World Twenty20 success (2011-12), Comeback and Captaincy (2017), Fourth World Championship (2018-19), Fifth World Championship (2020).  In 2013, she gave an outstanding performance in the 2013 Women's World Cup that was held in India. She has also achieved Women of the series for her excellent performance.
