Rahul is an emerging name in the textile industry, an author and also an "art archivist." In 1993 he was the founder of the "textile workshop" named "ASHA" with the motive to promote the traditional "weaving techniques" originated by "India-Iran" in the city "Varanasi”. He is having countless achievements in the field of art, design and revolutionary textile industry. He rigorously worked for improving the "disappearing art style" of "weaving the silk" by using the “Indian draw looms" traditionally.
He is the master of applying “Gold as well as silver threads " on the "Iranian silk”, “Indian silk" as well as on the silk from "Turkish" and even on the motifs also which is famous by the names of “Ottoman, Safavid and Mughal".He is the author of the book "(Rapture - The Art of Indian Textiles)" which mainly defines the " Art of Indian Textile and its 500 years of history."Rahul Jain has also written books, "Indo-Ground Fragments" and "Mughal Patkas Ashavali Saria", These books mainly describes the "historical procedures for textile weaving", designs and it's aesthetic values. In 2015 Indian govt conferred him with "Padma Shri".
