Rahul Sharma was born on 14 September 1975. He is a businessman and entrepreneur by profession. He completed his studies from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and the University of Saskatchewan situated in Canada.
 
He possesses a huge collection of gadgets. He loves to ride luxurious bikes and cars in his free time. Initially, he worked in a manufacturing company for one and a half years. Eventually, he decided to set up his own business. He along with his friends named, Vikas and Sumeet Agarwal founded the company named, Micromax Informatics. The company produced low-end products at the start. But later on his company Micromax partnered with another company named, Nokia and it proved to be a turning point in his life. The company is widely known to have created a frequency conversion tool and consequently, a huge network of Payphones was created. Payphones were earlier the monopoly of BSNL and MTNL. Adding to it, Micromax became the first-ever company to launch the Dual sim phones in India. The company recorded huge sales after this. He was also regarded as the 40 most influential people on the list by Fortune Magazine in 2014. He won numerous awards for depicting his excellence. In 2010, he won the Forbes person of the year award and in 2013, he won the GQ Man of the year award.
