Raza Murad Complete Bio & Career

Raza Murad belongs a family of great actors of the Hindi cinema. He made his acting debut in Hindi films from the 1965 released film Johar-Mehmood in Goa as a child artist. From the '70s to 80's he appeared in a supporting role and he also became famous for his villainous roles in Hindi films. He learned acting from the Pune Film and Television Institute of India and received a diploma in acting. He also became popular due to his baritone voice. His most memorable role in the film "Namak Haram" in 1973 in which he played the role of a depressed poet and shared the silver screen with India's first superstar Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan.
 
His most notable films in which he played the supporting and villain roles those made him famous in Hindi cinema and gave a new identity to establish himself in the industry and those character he portrayed are still in the memories of the Hindi film audiences and such remarkable films of Raja Murad such as. Henna, Khud-Daar, Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Tridev, Prem Rog, Ram Lakhan, Mohra, Pyar Ka Mandir, Gupt, Aankhen, Jodhaa Akbar, Bajirao Mastani, Phillauri, and Padmaavat.In 2011, he was awarded by the lifetime achievement award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards. For his outstanding contribution to the Hindi and Punjabi cinema. Since 1965 he acted over more than 200 films including Hindi, Telugu and Punjabi films.
 
He made his Tv debut from the serial Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. And in 2002 he made his debut in Tollywood through the Telugu film Indra. As a playback singer, he sang a song for the film Ek Aur Visphot in 2002.
