In 2006, Roop obtained her B-Tech degree in "Instrumentation and Control" from Graphics Era. After completing her engineering, she did her first job at Infosys before moving to films. Apart from acting she also appeared in many Tv commercials. In 2012, she made her debut in TV industry from the serial Balika Vadhu as Sanchi Kabra. In the same year, she also received an offer to appear in the Sab Tv children's Fantasy series Baal Veer.
On Mar 2015, she made a guest role in Akbar Birbal as an Ichchadhari Nagin. In the year 2016, she was cast in the role of Kavya on the Colors soap opera "Swaragini," and in the same year, she had another offer of the serial Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi as Natasha Gujral on Sony Tv. In the same year, she appeared in her third serial as Supriya Chaturvedi in Gangaa. On 2018, she was in the female lead for the serial Pyaar Pehli Baar as Sharmishtha this serial is a revised version of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. At Colors Golden Petal Awards-2013, she won the nominations for "Most Tez Taraar Personality."
