Russell Brand is a known name in the entertainment industry. He is a comedian, actor, radio host and a presenter. Brand’s childhood was full of hardships as his parents had separated when he was a baby and his mother was a cancer patient and so he lived with his relatives, with whom his disagreements caused him to sell illegal drugs. At the age of 15, he began his career as a theatre artist and was accepted into ItaliaConti Academy but was later expelled due to poor attendance and heavy consumption of drugs.
 
Brand performed stand-up at the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and attracted attention from Nigel Klartfeld and hence did many projects until he launched his own show Re: inBirth which will go on air in late 2017. In his stand-up act, he always talked about the drug problems he faced and soon became a face for drug charity.
 
Brand became a presenter in 2000 as a video journalist on MTV. He presented Dance floor chart. He then later starred in Re: Brand which aimed to take a challenging look at cultural taboos. He then hosted the Big Brother for a season. He has then hosted several other shows as well.
 
Brand has appeared on the Tv shows like Cruise of the Gods and White Teeth. He then took many projects like Despicable Me, The Tempest but gained fame when he starred in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
 
Brand has opened his own production house called the Vanity Projects. He then opened another production house with his friend and is called Branded Films, whose main focus is to make films in which Brand stars in.

Brand married singer Katy Perry in a Hindu ceremony in Ranthambore, India but later divorced her. Since 2015 he is in a relationship with Laura Gallacher and has a daughter from this relationship.
