Samuthirakani Complete Bio & Career

Samuthirakani is an actor and director in the Indian film industry. He is mostly active in the Tamil films and also done some of the Malayalam movies. He directed a movie named Naadodigal, which was a big hit. This movie was then made in three other different languages. In the year 2016, he got Best Supporting Actor National Film Award for the movie VIsarani.
 
He did his B.Sc in Mathematics from the Rajapalayam Rajus College and further he even did Bachelor of Law from Ambedkar Law College. He dreamt of becoming an actor. However, people used to tell him that he does not have looks and do not know acting. So he would never become an actor. However, Samuthirakani was determined to become the actor. He initially had to work as an assistant director, and then he finally got the chance in acting. He initially worked as an assistant director with K Vijayan, and then he further worked with Iyakkunar Sigaram K Balachander. Samuthirakani admits that he got enough experience working with the Balachander. His acting in the movie Subramaniapuram was well appreciated by the people.
 
Although his first film was a hit and he was very successful. However, his next few films could not do well at the box office and he had to bear the loss caused due to this film. In spite of this unsuccessful series, he kept patience and keep working hard. Then it was the movie Visarani in which his acting gained him enormous success and popularity.
 
He directed few of the films like Neranja Manasu, Shambo Shiva Shambo, Yaare Koogadali, Janda Pai Kapiraju, etc. He had acted some of the films like Parthale Paravasam, Subramaniapuram, Thiruvambadi Thamban, Thondan and much more.  His down to earth personality has gained him lots of success in the film industry. He has always been an inspiration to many of the struggling South actors who has shown great hard work to achieve the success.
