Saravanan is a famous actor in the Indian film industry. He has appeared in various Tamil movies and is a big name in Tamil film industry. Saravanan is a person who dedicatedly worked on his career and made his name in the acting field. 
 
Saravanan belongs to a Tamil family in Salem. He was second among the five children. His has a nice family background, his father was an Inspector of police and his mother was a staff of nurse. So his childhood was a very happy one. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Tamil Literature. He took his degree from Government Arts College, Salem. He is a talented person, and also has an interest in writing poems. After some time he moved to Chennai. He completed his course in acting from Adyar Film Institute.
 
Saravanan was married two times. He was married to Suryashree at first. He met Suryashree in Adyar Film Institute where he completed his acting course. He opened up about his second marriage in an episode of Big Boss 3 in Tamil. He shared that his first wife was fine with him getting married the second time as they wanted a child. 
 
In his career, Saravanan played a variety of roles. From 1991 to 1998 he was a lead actor in many movies. But from the 2000s his career came to halt. Earlier he used to work as lead actors, but then his career took a turn and he started appearing as a supporting actor.  As a director, he directed a movie named Thaayumaanavan. He appeared on the Tamil version of Big Boss 3 in 2019. 
 
In 2007 he won the Filmfare award for Best supporting actor for the Tamil movie. He also won Vijay Award for a best supporting role. He has gained fame and name in the Tamil industry with his dedication and hard work. His recent releases include Kadaikutty Singam, Kolamavu Kokila, and 100.
