In his earlier days, he used to play for the Praire Wolf Pack in Canada. He played his way through the age groups of U-17, U-19 and U-23 teams before finally making his international debut representing his country against the United States in the year 2007.  From 2007 to 2011 he played 12 tests for Canada. He was at the start in 6 matches and was in the team as substitutes in the remaining 6 matches. He was a lanky customer and was known for his agility on the field. He played in Prop position. 

 

Scott Franklin turned Pro Rugby player and relocated to CA Brive in France in the year 2007. Following year he was transferred to Cornish Pirates and played for them for next two years from 2008 to 2010. In 2010 he was selected for the team Canada Selects which competed in the 2010 Americas Rugby. In 2011 he was selected in the 30 man squad for the World Cup. He played his last test in 2011 against New Zealand in October 2011.
