Scott Kuggeleijn Complete Bio & Career

Scott Kuggeleijn is a young allrounder from New Zealand. He is more of a bowler but can hit them long at the back end of innings. Thus making him a vital cog in any team that he plays for. His father was a cricketer and hence he too started playing cricket from an early age. He made his first-class cricket debut by representing Wellington in the 2011-12 season. After playing for 4-5 seasons, he had a breakthrough in 2016 where he picked up 17 wickets. Through this performance, he was able to put his case forward for the national selection. He wasn’t selected, he was accused of rape charges and his case was in trial. 
 
After he was cleared of the charges in 2017, he made his ODI debut against Ireland. He had a good outing as he picked up 5 wickets in the 2 matches that he played. He was picked in the New Zealand T20 squad when Sri Lanka visited New Zealand in 2019. He had a great debut as he scored a quick 35 and also picked up a wicket. He was then given a second shot when India toured New Zealand in 2019. In that series as well, he performed well. He was roped in by IPL franchise Chennai Superkings as a replacement of injured Lungi Ngidi in IPL 2019.
