She always had a dream to become an actress. From her school days, she used to perform in plays and functions. She mostly worked in the Marathi film industry.
She made her debut in the film industry with Miya Bibi Razi in 1960. She played the character named Rajni in this film. Next, she worked in Jagachya Parivath and appeared as a young blind girl. She worked in most of the films as a co-star for her husband. their chemistry as a couple was much praised by the audience. Seema worked in more than 80 films including Bhabhi ki Chudiya, Naseeb Apna-Apna, Prem Patra, Dus Lakh, Anand, Koshish, and many others.
