Senthil Complete Bio & Career

Senthil is well-known for his portrayal of comic characters in the Tamil cinemas. During the 1980s, he appeared with another comedian Goundamani and together they were known as Hardy and Laurel of India. 
 
He left his house at the age of 12, after a dispute with his father. He did some odd jobs like a bartender, working in a wine shop and getting employed at an oil mart among others. He enrolled at a drama troupe to try his hands at acting.
 
He made his acting debut with a minor role in the Tamil film Pasi in 1979. Initially, he was seen in some minor roles in Tamil films and television. He got his first breakthrough role in the film titled Malayoor Mambatyiyaan. His association with comedian Goundamani is well-known. Together they have entertained the audience through slapstick and double meaning comedy. Besides films, he is a well-known actor of small screen and is currently working in a Tamil series. 
 
He has worked with almost all the leading actors of South Indian film industry and to date has worked in over 300 films.

He was born to Ramamoorthi and Thirukammal. He is married to Kalaiselvi since 1984 and together the couple has two sons named Hemachandra Prabhu and Dr Manikanda Prabhu.
