Shweta Menon was born on 23-04-1974 in Chandigarh, India. She is an Indian Model, Film Actress, Television Presenter & Television Personality. She is known for her work in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies. She also appeared in various tv shows as a host. In 2018, she became the contestant of Bigg Boss Malayalam 1.

Shweta Menon completed her studies from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, East Hill, Kozhikode. She was more enthusiastic to become an actress and also willing to make her career in the glamorous world. She made her acting debut from the Malayalam film Anaswaram (1991) opposite the superstar of the Malayalam cinema Mammootty.

During the time of 1992-94, she had the number of Malayalam films projects and she appeared in some Malayalam films such as My dear Muthachan, Nakshatrakrudram, Kaushalam, and Welcome to Kodaikanal. After she decided to focus her attention on modelling. She later won many competitions before returning to films. The year 1994, was the main turning point of her career to bring herself into the limelight for the glamorous world. At first in 1994, she participated in the Miss India contest and finished the second runner-up behind Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai. In the same year, she won the title of the Gladrags Women's Supermodel (Kelly Dorjeepurus supermodel) and she also declared as the Runner-Up of Miss Asia Pacific in Manila Cebu Island, Philippines.

In1995, she had acted in her first Telugu film DeshaDrohulu and in 1997, she made her Bollywood debut from the film Prithvi as Lucky. She moved to Tamil film cinema from the 2000 released film Snegithiye in which she portrayed the character of a Police Inspector. She returned to Malayalam through the movie Keerthi Chakra in 2006in the role of Human rights activist. In addition, on television, her first ever appearance along with Arshad Warsi as a Co-host for 2001 show Razzmatazz on Zee TV. She appeared in the award-winning film Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha in 2009, as cheeru. For that film, she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam. In 2011, she was starred in the Malayalam film Salt N' Pepper as Maya Krishnan, she once again impressed the film jury to declare her name for the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress.

In the next following year, she appeared as a supporting cast for the Malayalam film Ozhimuri. This talented and beautiful model turned actress acclaimed the critics' reviews and also declared as the winner of the   SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In 2018, she participated in the  Bigg Boss Malayalam as a Contestant on Asianet and she got Evicted on day 35. She has appeared over 50-60 Malayalam Movies and near about 30 Hindi films. She has mostly concentrated on Malayalam cinema off late. She was recently seen in Malayalam film Fancy Dress and Black Coffee.
