Sindhu Menon Complete Bio & Career

Sindhu Menon was born and raised in Bangalore. She obtained her graduate degree from the Sheshadripuram College, Bangalore. She is fluent in many languages such as Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu.
 
From a very early age, she started training in Bharatnatyam. She once participated in a Bharatnatyam competition and emerged a winner as well. The competition's judge Bhaskar Hegde introduced her to veteran director of Kannada film, K V Jayaram. Jayram immediately cast her in his project titled “Rashmi” as a child artist in the year 1994. She was just 9 years old then.  She made her full-fledged acting debut with the Kannada film titled Prema Prema Prema in 1999. She was just 14 years old when she played her first lead role.
 
A couple of years later, she made her debut in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films industry as well. For her debut Malayalam film Uthaman, she won herself nominations for the Best Actress Award. Her Malayalam film Pulijanmam won the National Award under the category of Best Feature Film in 2007.
 
Besides the silver screen, she has also been a consistent performer on the small screen as well. In addition to performing in serials such as "Stree Hrudayam" and "Sriman Srimathi", she has also been successful in hosting television shows.  In her illustrious acting career, she has worked with noted director S. Shankar in his Tamil film called Eeram in the year 2009. For her performance, she was nominated for Vijay Awards under the category of Best Actress.

Popular VJ of Kannada Music channels, Karthik is her younger brother. She is married to Dominic Prabhu who is an IT Professional in the Uk since 2010. Together the couple is blessed with a daughter named Svetlana Prabhu.
