Sitaram Panchal hailed from the Jind district of Haryana. He completed his school level education from the Arya Senior Secondary School in his hometown Narwana. He obtained his B.A. degree from UCK College in Kurukshetra. After completion of his studies, he joined National School of Drama in Delhi.
He made his acting debut with Shekhar Kapur’s much-acclaimed film Bandit Queen in 1994. After which, he was seen in films such as Paan Singh Tomar, Slum Dog Millionaire, The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Peepli Live. He was last seen in Akshay Kumar starrer film Jolly LLB 2 in 2017.
