Sneha Khanwalkar Complete Bio & Career

Sneha Khanwalkar’s mother was a trained classical singer and it was she who gave her initial lessons in music. She was good in academics and besides that, she has also done direction and animation courses. When she was 19, her family relocated to Mumbai. Her initial dream was to become an engineer but she instead got employed in an animation agency and after that art direction. She was not enjoying and decided to pursue music as her career option. 
 
She began her musical career with a couple of short movies titled "The Hope" and "Undisputed". Soon, she got an offer to compose the title track of Bollywood film Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow. It was Ram Gopal Verma who gave her the opportunity to compose songs of her films such as Go and Sarkar Raj. For composing music of Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, she went to Haryana and did some research and also visited the Raagini Music festival.Her work was well appreciated and after which it was noted director Anurag Kashyap who signed her to compose music for his films Gangs of Wasseypur (Part 1 & Part 2). For her music, she won nomination for the Best Music Director at various award functions. 
 
She recently composed music for films such as Khoobsurat, Singh is Bling and Detective Byomkesh Bakshyi!
 
She garnered huge fame after hosting popular MTV miniseries called Sound Trippin. In the show, she travelled various parts of India and created music that resonates the feel of that particular region.
