Sophie Nelisse Complete Bio & Career

Sophie started her career as early as at the tender age of seven by appearing in tv commercials. She made her acting debut at the age of 10 in the much acclaimed French-Canadian film titled Monsieur Lazhar in 2010. Her performance in the film was widely praised and she also managed to win herself a Jutra and a Genie award for Best Supporting Actress.
 
Sophie already establishing herself as an actor to reckon with went on to play a significant role in Luc Picard's feature film Esimésac in 2012. She was then asked to audition for the lead role of a German girl in the English-language film titled The Book Thief. She was eventually picked for the role and starred alongside Emily Watson and Geoffrey Rush.
 
Off-screen, Sophie enjoys going for gymnastic classes, listening to music and playing some sports.
