Stacey Dooley Complete Bio & Career

Stacey grew up in Luton, Bedfordshire. She always wanted to be a journalist and came to limelight after she appeared in the documentary series Blood, Sweat and T-shirts in the year 2008. She became a household name since she has started presenting Stacey Dooley Investigates. She has addressed various issues such as Child Labour, Sex Trafficking in Cambodia, Europe's Dirty Drugs Secret, and Meth and Madness in Mexico among others. She started presenting the series since 2009 and is still associated with the series. 
 
In addition to presenting, she has also served as the narrator of shows such as Superstorm USA: Caught on Camera, The Natives: This is Our America, and The Pets Factor among others. She also participated in the dance reality show  Strictly Come Dancing in the year 2018 and ended up winning the competetion. She was paired alongside veteran choreographer Kevin Clifton.   
 
She has also shared her share of criticism as well. She was heavily criticised for falsely portraying a Turkish woman as a Syrian sex worker living in Istanbul in her series Sex in Strange Places. She again came under the scanner in 2019 after she called Muslim prayer gesture ‘an IS salute’ in a Panorama documentary on IS brides.
