She hails from Kerala but has worked predominantly in the Telugu industry. At the age of 21, she began her career by hosting award functions, Telugu film and audio launches. After getting noticed as an achor, she also got various acting offers and finally made her acting debut through Teugu film Kalyana Praapthirasthu in the year 1996. The folowing year, she made her Malayalam film debut through the film titled Newspaper Boy. Since the decade of the 2000's, she has conentrated only in Telugu film industry and has played supporting roles in films such as Pavitra Prema, Varsha, Dhee, and Baadshah among others.
In addition to films, she has also appeared in Telugu series such as Anveshitha and Soundarya Lahari among others.She has earned a nich for herself as a host. She has hosted over 50 prestigious events in her career. She has also won herself Nandi Award for best TV Anchor 2010 Panchavataram and Local TV Media Awards Best Anchor Star Mahila 2010 among others.
