She made her acting debut through her father Devadas Kanakala's show Rajasekhara Charitra. After that, she was seen in shows like Chinnari, Super Mom, and Agnipoolu, among others. She left acting some 4-5 years prior to her death as she was battling cancer and finally succumbed to it in April 2020.
