Narine was banned from playing international cricket for over a year due to a suspicious action. He made his comeback to the West Indies team in November 2015 but soon was again caught for suspicious action. This time ICC banned him from playing international cricket but he returned to a revised bowling action.Though he was picked for the ICC World T20, he decided to opt out of the tournament and rather focus on his rehab.  He was ranked the No. 1 bowler in T20Is when he was picked for the World T20 in 2016 but withdrew from the tournament to focus on his rehabilitation. He was cleared by ICC and was able to participate in IPL 2016. He has become an all-rounder since IPL 2016 and is one of the most explosive opening batsmen. He is one of the most feared batsmen during powerplays and goes all guns blazing right from the word go.
