Suresh Gopi is a well-known personality in Kerala and many parts of South India. He is an actor, singer, and politician. His full name is Suresh Gopinathan. He was made the Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha. As an MP, he has selected Thiruvananthapuram as a place of his work. He has done his school education from the Infant Jesus School Kollam. He had done his college at Fatima Mata National College completing his M.A. degree.
 
In the year 1965, he first started his acting career from the movie named “Odayil Ninnum”, playing the role of a child artist. He has worked nicely in the movies like Irupatham Noottandu, Rajavinte Makan, etc. However, his lead role in the movie Thalasthanam was very appreciating. His role in the movie Commissioner as the character 'Bharath Chandran IPS' is liked by many people. After some of the hit movies, his mind turned towards becoming a politician. His only aim for becoming a politician was to do something for the society and country.
 
He has got National Film Award for Best Actor for his character role of Kannan Perumalayan in Kaliyattam in the year 1997. He worked in the movies Christian Brothers in the year 2010. He also worked in the Tamil movie named Dr. Vasudevan. Before coming into politics, Suresh Gopi has also raised many social issues. One of the notable events was in the 2001 election, where there was the exclusion of many of the eligible people during the polling day. The list of missing names also included the name of his mother-in-law. He protested this by not voting for that election.
 
His movies were a mix of both successful movies and unsuccessful movies. He is one of the popular stars in Malayalam movies. He is currently working very hard on solving social problems properly.

He was born to a film distributor father K. Gopinathan Pillai and a homemaker mother V. Gyanalaxmi Amma. He is the eldest child in his home and having three younger brothers named Subhash Gopi, Sanil Gopi & Sunil Gopi. His brothers Sanil & Sunil are born as twins. On 08-02-1990, he married Radhika Nair. The couple is blessed with four children including two daughters named Bhavna Suresh, Bhagya Suresh, and two sons named Madhav Suresh & Gokul Suresh who is an actor. The couple's first child, a daughter Lakshmi Suresh died in 1992 in a car accident when she was only one and half years old.
