Tejaswi Madivada was born and raised in Hyderabad. She was a skilled dancer and began her career as a dance teacher. She also participated in Miss Dabur Gulabari beauty contest in 2011 and came 2nd runner up. She got noticed from there and started getting modeling offers. She appeared in 7up commmercial along with Allu Arjun and after that she started getting acting offers. She finally made her acting debut through Telugu film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu in the year 2013. She played supporting role in this film but was highly praised for her performance. She then played few more supporting roles before finally getting her first lead role in Ram Gopal Verma's Telugu film titled Ice Cream in the year 2014. This film was a massive hit and changed her fortunes as well. However her nude scenes in the film also sparked controversy as well.
Post that for the next 3 years, she starred in nearly 20 Telugu films in supporting as well as lead roles. She however couldn't give any blockbuster and her performance too received negative reviews on various occasions. Her noted films include Subramanyam For Sale, Oorvasi Vo Rakshasi Vo, Wish You Happy Breakup, and Babu Baga Busy among others. She also starred in a Tamil film titled Natpadhigaram 79 in the year 2016. She also participated in the second season of Bigg Boss Telugu 2 in 2018.
