Thiru came to Chennai to build a career in entertainment industry. He started off his career by assisting filmmaker A. Rajasekhar for his project Sathyam in the year 2008. After that, he made his directorial debut through Tamil film Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai in the year 2010. The film did well at the box-office but still it took him 3 years to be seen again. His next directorial venture was Samar in the year 2013. After directing a few more Tamil films such as Naan Sigappu Manithan, and Mr. Chandramouli, he made his Telugu film debut by directing Gopichand starrer action thriller film titled Chanakya in the year 2019.
