Tina Desai attended National Institute of Management College from where she obtained her graduation degree in Business Management with specialization in finance. She is fluent in five languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu, and English.

 

She was a born model and first shot to prominence after she participated as a contestant in the Reality show Get Gorgeous. She couldn’t win the show but was presented with a contract with the Elite Model India Management Private Limited who were among the sponsors of the reality show, before the final winner was announced. Her career scaled new highs since then and to date has appeared in 100+ commercials.

 

After enjoying a highly successful modeling career, she made her cinematic debut in 2011 with Yogesh Mittal’s Yeh Faasley in 2011. She came to limelight after starring in the psychological drama film Table No. 21 in 2013. The film was declared a hit at the box-office and her performance was well received. Besides Hindi, she has starred in English film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and in its sequel The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Besides acting, she has also served as a voice artist and has lent her voice for the character Ashima in the film Thomas & Friends: The Great Race.  

 

In addition to films, she has appeared on web series titled Sense8. She worked in the show from its inception in 2015 and remained with the show till its conclusion in 2016.
