Toby Keith Complete Bio & Career

Toby Keith’s full name is Toby Keith Covel. He is a singer and produces records, and his genre of style is country. The singer is of English descent and was raised in Oklahoma. He started to take an interest in music when he would hear musicians play at his grandma’s Supper Club called Billie Garner’s Supper Club. He bought his guitar when he was just eight years old. When he was in high school, he was on the football team and played at the defensive end.
 
After he graduated from high school, he worked in the oil fields and eventually became an operation manager. He started a band with his friends which were called Easy Money Band, and the band would get gigs at the local bars. While he was playing in the band, he still was working in the oil fields. In the year 1982, the oil industry was falling and eventually Keith had to find another job. He played for a semi-pro football team from his experience in high school.
 
Apart from singing, he also has an acting career. He has been on several advertisements that come on television. Also, he has been in commercials for the car company, Ford. He got to roast Larry the Cable Guy in the year 2009. This roast came on television on March 14, 2009. In the year 2011, he was in the show, Huckabee. He even played a song at the end of the show. His first movie appearance was in 2005 in the movie Broken Bridges. He worked along with Kelly Preston and Lindsey Haun to name a few of his fellow actors of the movie.
 
He has an honorary degree which was given to him from Villanova University.
