Trevor Noah is a popular South African comedian, producer, writer, political commentator, television host, and actor. He went to a Catholic school ‘Maryvale College’ for his schooling. He used to visit Roman Catholic church every Sunday. He started his career when he was 18. He was cast in South African soap opera titled ‘Isidingo’. He then hosted his own radio show with a name ‘Noah's Ark‘ on YFM, a young radio station. He focused on comedy dropping acting and his radio show. He performed with many South African comedians including Darren Simpson, Kagiso Lediga, Marc Lottering, Riaad Moosa,  Nik Rabinowitz etc. He had also worked with international comedians such as Paul Zerdin, Paul Rodriguez, Dan Ilic etc.
 
He hosted an educational TV programme ‘Run The Adventure‘ for 2004-2006 which was aired on SABC2. He hosted a gossip-themed show ‘The Real Goboza’ on SABC1 in 2007. He was also featured in SABC’s sports shoe ‘Siyadlala’. He and Pabi Moloi co-hosted the dating game show ‘The Amazing Date’. He participated in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and was the runner-up on the show in 2008. He hosted and was the creator of the popular show ‘Tonight with Trevor Noah‘ on DStv and M-Net. He received success internationally with the appearances on many British panel shows and many American late-night talk shows. His stand-up comedy career bloomed significantly with his hard work. An American satirical news program ‘The Daily Show’ had him as a Senior International Correspondent in 2014. Later he was declared as a new host for the show replacing the longtime host Jon Stewart.

He found himself in controversy after posting few tweets on micro-blogging site Twitter which were criticized as offensive to Jews and women.

He was born to a black mother with Xhosa ethnicity Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah and a white father with Swiss German ethnicity, Robert. His parent's marriage was declared as illegal under amended Immorality Act of 1985 and his father had to leave them. His mother was jailed. His maternal grandmother Nomalizo Frances Noah and his mother raised him. His mother married Ngisaveni Abel Shingange, but they separated as he used o abuse them. His mother then got engaged to Sfiso Khoza, but his stepdad Shingange attempt to shot her. Isaac and Andrew are his stepbrothers. He has been in a relationship with American singer and model Jordyn Taylor.
