Vania King was born on 3rd February 1989 in Monterey Park, California, USA.  She is an American Tennis Player.

Vania King Complete Bio & Career

Vania started playing tennis at the tender age of 4. Her father coached her initially. The first tournament that she attended was when she was just 7 years old. She turned pro at the age of 17 in 2006. The very same year she won her maiden and thus far the sole single title at the PTT Bangkok Open. In 2009 she made it to the finals of Rolland Garros, where she and her partner Marcelo Melo lost to Bob Bryan/Liezel Huber. Her best performance at singles level was at 2009 U.S. Open, she reached the third round and was defeated by Daniela Hantuchová.
 
The biggest moment of her career came in 2010 when she won the won the Women’s doubles titles at Wimbledon 2010. Her career maiden title gave her more power and confidence as she won back to back slams by winning U.S. Open 2010; Women’s   doubles titles along with Kazakh partner Yaroslava Shvedova. She has not had a memorable career at the singles level but she has received a lot of kudos at the doubles circuit. 
 
Her current coach is Tarik Benhabiles. To unwind herself off the court she relaxes by singing, reading and playing video games.
