Vikram Gokhale is a renowned Stage and television artist of Marathi theatre and Hindi films. His father "Chandrakant Gokhale" was also a well-known veteran Marathi theatre artist and an actor and he had acted over the 70 Marathi as well as in Hindi films.In his career, he appeared in many TV serials, Hindi as well as in Marathi films. In 2010, he made his directorial debut from the Marathi language film "Aaghaat." The main star cast of the film was Dr. Amol Kolhe, and Mukta Barve and most of the scenes of the movie was shot in Pune. In 2011, he received the "Sangeet Natak Akademi Award" for his contribution to the cinema. In 2013, he won the "National Film award" under the category of Best Actor for the Marathi film "Anumati."
He is the owner of the real estate firm "Sujata Farms" located in Pune. He is also a social activist, and he and his family founded a charitable organization, which provides the financial support to the disabled people, education of the orphan children and among other welfare activities. On Feb 2016, he quit the stage activities due to the throat diseases.And from 2016 he is completely away from the movies and also from the TV serials.
