Vivek Shauq was a famous Bollywood actor. He had studied from Indo-Swiss Training Centre (ISTC). He had started his career from television and theatre. His debut film was Barsaat Ki Raat.
 
Vivek was not only a famous actor and a comedian but also a writer and a singer. He has worked in Punjabi and Hindi movies, television serials, commercials, and theatres. He was highly influenced by Jaspal Bhatti and had starred beside him in Flop Show and UltaPulta serials on Doordarshan. He started getting noticed from movies like Gadar, Aitraaz, Delhi Heights, Mini Punjab and much more. He was a very significant and talented actor. He has been a part of varied commercial advertisements like Vasmol, Chlorates, Nokia CDMA, HCL Computers and CP Plywood. His multi- faceted personality made him a very good actor and the person also. He had a strong command of Urdu language. He has worked in more than 50 films setting a strong foot in the industry and has also left a high mark. He was also a part of the Sant Nirankari Mission which is a spiritual organization dedicated towards human welfare. Apart from being a great actor, he also was a great friend of Jaspal Bhatti, Akshay Kumar, BobbyDeol. He was known as the right-hand of Jaspal Bhatti.
 
Vivek was also very spiritual and believed in God but never differentiated in the caste and creeds. He was an open-minded happy personality and maintained good relations with all.

Vivek Shauq died on 10-01-2011 in Thane, Maharashtra, India at age of 47. He suffered a heart attack and went into a coma. He died due to septicemia at Jupiter Hospital in Thane.
