The Indian Film Director, Ashutosh Gowariker is well recognized for directing the movies – set on a huge canvas while boasting of an opulent treatment. Most prominently, the famous works of Ashutosh include Lagaan in 2001, Jodha Akbar in 2008, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey in 2010, Swades in 2004, What’s Your Raashee in 2009, and Mohenjo Daro in 2016. Due to his brilliant works, he was selected for the Academy Awards as the voting member in the year 2005. Most recently, he performed the lead role in the drama based movie Ventilator which proved his powerful comeback.
Initially, Ashutosh Gowariker began his career as an actor and got a chance to perform in the debut movie named Holi which was directed by Ketan Mehta. Fortunately, he met Amir Khan during his work in Holi. Consecutively, he performed in a number of television serials which include C.I.D and Circus. Later, he directed his debut movie – Pehla Nasha in the year 1993. Moreover, his movie called What’s Your Raashee? gained huge popularity due to the brilliant performance of Priyanka Chopra in 12 different roles.
Recently, in the year 2016, Hrithik Roshan starred in the Ashutosh’s movie – Mohenjo Daro which attracted good and positive responses. Additionally, he has also performed in Marathi movies such as Sarkarnama, Vazir, and Ek Ratra Mantarleli along with English and Haryanvi movies namely West is West and Jaat respectively.
