Sandhya Complete Bio & Career
Sandhya'a actual name is Revathy Ajith. She was born in Kochi but was raised in Chennai. She completed her school level education from Vidyodaya Girls Higher Secondary School, Chennai. She was still studying when she got the offer to play the lead role in Tamil film Kaadhal in the year 2004. This film mark her acting debut and for her performance she won Best Actress Award not just at Filmfare but also Tamil Nadu State award as well. The following year, she made her Malayalam film debut through the film titled Alice In Wonderland. In 2006, she won yet another Tamil Nadu State Film Award for her performance in the Tamil film Dishyum. This film made her one of the most sought after actress in Tamil cinema while she was just 2 films old. However, she couldn't repeat the success further and her next few films did moderate business at the box-office. She has worked in all south Indian language films and in addition to acting, she also a sang a song in the film Manjal Veiyil in the year 2009.
Since 2011, she has concentrated mostly in Malayalam film industry and has starred in some of the famous Malayalam films such as Traffic, Masters, Paisa Paisa, and Vettah. In 2016, she took a break from the industry following the birth of her daughter. She finally will be making a comeback in the industry again with the Tamil film Soodhattam which is scheduled to release in 2020. Besides Tamil, she has been roped in for Malayalam films such as Puzhayum Kannadiyum, Long Sight, Paris Payyans, and Second Innings.
